SCREENPRINT

In screenprint, an artist pushes ink through a stencil on a screen with a squeegee. The stencil can be created from a black and white drawing or a photograph. This is how T-shirts are printed, and it's easy to print on fabric, flat found objects, and more. If you're thinking of making a screenprint at a New Editions workshop, plan to print a single color in a single session. Multicolor prints take more time - and each color ink needs its own screen stencil!
