Sneak Peek: Grand Opening on Oct 10

Our Grand Opening is just a few days away! Prints are a great way to collect original artwork, and artists from around the country have donated their prints to our Silent Auction and Print Raffle. Part open house, part fundraiser, all proceeds will benefit our exhibition & visiting artist programs. We started Calliope Arts to help the Louisville Metro area become a center for innovation in printmaking. With your support, we'll be better able to bring in artists from the region and nationwide to make, show, and share their work.

Many thanks to the artists who donated prints for this - we appreciate your show of support, and can't wait to share these prints with Louisville area art enthusiasts!

Take a chance to win a print of your choice! Raffle tickets are $5 each, and we'll announce winners throughout the day. If you're a winner, you'll get to pick your favorite, and have an original artwork by an awesome printmaker. Here are some of the prints featured in the Raffle.

Music from the Print Studio by Square-wave

Local musician duo Square-wave will delight us with original songs with sampled sounds from the printmaking studio. If you've ever wondered what screen printing sounds like when set to a beat, here's your chance to find out. It's pretty spectacular, and fun to listen to - regardless of your level of printing expertise.

Carnival-style Games

Our games, including balloon darts, magnetic fishing, and spinning wheel, are the product of collaboration between many local artists. Test your skill for hand-printed greeting cards, patches, and more Calliope swag! Here's a photo of Rudy and his dad adding the finishing touches.
