Three Fridays: April 14, 21, and 28 (6-9pm)
Three evenings of printmaking studio magic with artist and Calliope cofounder Rudy Salgado. Etch lines and tones into a 4" x 6" copper plate, then use our etching presses to make luscious one-color prints. Etching is a sculptural, centuries-old process that yields images like no other. No experience necessary, and all materials are included. Open to ages 15 and beyond.

Rudy Salgado is an artist and wet-plate collodion photographer who has exhibited art at venues across the US and internationally. He received an MFA in Printmaking at the University of Iowa and a BFA in Printmaking from California State University, Chico. Rudy has taught classes with numerous arts organizations and schools in the Louisville area, including Speed Art Museum, Louisville Visual Art, Governor’s School for the Arts, Francis Parker School, and Kentucky College of Art and Design.
